Epic Games has since been able to overturn that decision and bring Fortnite back full circle to the Mac App Store. It was also recently announced that Fortnite for Mac will be released on April 25th.

Epic's new Fortnite for Mac developer release notes state that the Mac version of the game is "coming shortly" and invites players to sign-up for its waitlist -- It's worth noting that Epic's release date for the Mac version of Fortnite is 25th April 2019, not April 25th 2020 as stated elsewhere (excluding the Dot Esports Reddit).

Epic's decision to bring Fortnite back to the Mac App Store was awarded a well-deserved E3 Game of the Year Award and a huge amount of praise from the press. Apple's decision to withdraw the App Store version of Fortnite back in 2020 caused huge concern among the Mac gaming community and made a number of concerns around whether Fortnite would ever be made available for the Mac.

Thankfully, Epic Games has come through and delivered on that promise (although there was a small note - and a major one made by Epic - on its forums -confirming the games full release on Mac App Store).

Epic Games posted a status update earlier today noting that there was no technical issue with the games launch on Mac App Store: "There was no technical issue with the launch. Hundreds of players had their Fortnite Mac apps launched in a single second."
