With the new subscription plans, you will be able to pay for the software on a monthly basis to own it for as long as you want. In addition, you will be able to get various upgrades and new features, as well as access to training resources etc.

The Layers Panel is yet another example of how “real Photoshop users” have been using applications for years. By organizing, arranging, and combining layers, you are able to set them as transparent, with fill or blending modes and options. You can manually clean up channels, trim them up or down, remove them, and even collapse them down to a single transparent layer. Layers also allow for groups and filters that can manipulate multiple layers at once.
The Layer Guide panel (also seen on the right side of this review) can be quite useful when you don’t know what filters to use, or when you are unsure of how a specific filter effect will behave with an image color. Sometimes an elaborate looking filter can be accomplished simply by using the Opacity adjustment. In the Layer Guide, you can see the opacity of all the hidden and/or active layers for quick reference.
Here, I’ll run through some of the new features that I hope will help accelerate my editing workflow. It’s a thrill to use software that’s new and better. I’ll start with the few that I’ve tested. Onward, please!
The Photoshop Elements Importer. We love Importers here at PCMag. They’re our go-to tool for making walls of photos go up in a hurry.
