Hi Adrian, I've just switched from LR 4.2 to 5.2.RC and i'm very satisfied with the performance improvement. The default dialogs of LR 5 are more easy to work with than 4.r. The big issue i see with 5.2 is the brevity of the color-management-section in the ICC profile dialog. Why do they hide it? It threw me a bit off the back, until i discovered that it's because it's grey! It could be just for color-management specific profile btw but i can't dismiss it as a usability issue. I tried the preview mode and the performance difference is already pretty big. If the dialogs can't stay the same at the same functionality level I'll be looking for an alternative for the time being. All the best and thank you for the review!
Interesting. But I don't see where you went from your set of 600 PNGs to your final image. I see you took the 'good' image and drew a new layer over it, using that image as mask. Why couldn't you have taken all 600 images as a set and then adjusted them later if necessary?
@Trup – “You’ve used Adobe Designer for projects, and this would probably be the best step.” I find it much easier to draw, or use Illustrator to create the elements, and then finish in Photoshop once it's complete. In fact, at the time of my CS2 review there was a new “place” module for Photoshop, which I used to put images inside other images for a 360 degree view. And for my current review, the Photoshop processing abilities are improving the way I view images on my monitor and in my files. But, again, for what I need, Photoshop kicks butt!
